Banoffee Pie

This pie, this pie… what can I say other than, it has to be the eighth wonder of the world. A mix of creamy bananas and toffee.. whipped cream and … oh my…

The list:

1 14 oz  can sweetened condensed milk  ( with a pop top lid)

1 premade graham cracker crust ( or make one, up to you  )

5 ripe or over ripe bananas  ( cut into slices )

1/2 tub  Cool Whip™

I’m using Bananas that I got on sale the other day.. thought it was a great deal..until I noticed last night that no one was eating them… hmmmm PIE came to mind.

Set sweetened condensed milk can in a medium saucepan with water to come ¾ of the way up. Bring to a simmer over medium heat; reduce heat to low and simmer, partially covered and adding water as needed, about 3  ½  hours.

 

Remove can from pan; let cool until warm.

Slice three bananas…..

Line the bottom of your crust and the sides with three of the bananas.

Get the sides too…..

After the can cools a bit, cover it with a towel and open the lid carefully.

Pour milk ( toffee) into a bowl and whisk the heck outta it… get it good and smooth.

Pour the toffee over the bananas and spread out  evenly….

 

Cool in fridge for one hour.

Top with the rest of the bananas and cover with cool whip™ chill another 30 minutes

After it has cooled another 30 minutes.. it’s ready to serve….you’ll never be the same again y’all !
