Frozen Fruit and Yogurt Pops

Ah, Summer… it just screams ice cream doesn’t it? I personally believe that ice cream, sherbet and all their cousins are okay all year round… but… in Summer, they just hit the spot… that hot spot, when you’re covered in Carolina humidity… man, its hot!

I like to make my own … here is one of my favs…

main

1 cup frozen strawberries

1 cup frozen blueberries

1- 6oz cup peach yogurt

1- 6oz cup blueberry yogurt

1/2 cup fresh blueberries

Add the berries to a food processor….. um, do you see it yet?

Okay… I didn’t attach the blade…hey, I’m blonde okay …

ATTACH your blade and pulse berries a few times.. You want them to be still a bit frozen. I only thaw them for about 15-20 minutes.

After pulsing a few times the berries will look like little crumbles.

trying not to bust the fresh berries too much….

Wash your molds….

Add spoonfuls of the mix, tapping as you go to release any air bubbles, bubbles are not our friends in pop making….

Firmly attach the sticks…..

I use any left over mix for “adult” cups… just use a freezer save ramekin and cover with plastic wrap… freeze for at least 3 hours….

Run the pop under warm water for about 20 seconds and it should come out perfectly!
