Have you ever wanted a taste of Summer in the Winter? I love comfort foods, but every now and again, I need that cold bite of a Summer classic. I love chicken salad anyway I can get it… Sweet, BBQ ( yup BBQ), Mexican ( oh, that’s coming.. just wait) and this one… DILL.. I am not sure what it is about dill that I love so much… but it has me in it’s power.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2-3 cups shredded cooked chicken
- 1/4 cup chopped onions
- 1 cup ( yup a cup) of Dill Relish ( I use Mt. Olive®)
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
- 1/4 cup Daisy Sour Cream®
- 5 tablespoons Dukes® mayonnaise
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Directions
Cube the chicken into bite-sized pieces and place into a large bowl.( they will break down a bit as you mix) Add onions and chopped dill to the chicken. Fold in the relish. Mix in the sour cream and the mayonnaise. Stir well…Season the salad with salt and pepper. Chill at least one hour.
Serve on bread, crackers, celery sticks … endless choices …
